Clever Logos With Hidden Symbolism IV

Hi, Folks
Today I've got collection of Logos with hidden symbolism in them.

Well I gues most of us know what logo is

Just a small defination What is logo
A logo is a graphic mark or emblem commonly used by commercial enterprises, organizations and even individuals to aid and promote instant public recognition. Logos are either purely graphic (symbols/icons) or are composed of the name of the organization (a logotype or wordmark).

All Logo designers out there this could be inspiration for you guys for future or upcoming designs.

1) Circus of Magazines

Seriously this clear and perfectly designed by taking into consideration the name i.e. Circus of Magazines.Circus tent looks like a magazine (more like a book to me, but still very clever). (Designer:logotomy)

2) Formula 1

Empty space in the middle creates a number “1″ for “Formula 1″

Formula One, also known as Formula 1 or F1 and referred to officially as the FIA Formula One World Championship, is the highest class of single-seater auto racing sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The "formula", designated in the name, refers to a set of rules with which all participants' cars must comply. The F1 season consists of a series of races, known as Grands Prix (from French, originally meaning great prizes), held throughout the world on purpose-built circuits and public roads.

Formula One, more commonly known as F1 or Formula 1, is the highest class of single seater auto racing championship organized by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA).
One of the most popular sports events on the globe, 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship was watched by a huge audience of around 527 million people around the world.
The current Formula One logo was designed in the early 2000s.

DESIGN ELEMENT OF FORMULA ONE LOGO

Shape of the F1 Logo:
The F1 logo is one of the most famous and creative sports logos ever created. The negative space in the middle of the logo creates the “1″. The F1 logo is brilliantly relevant to the brand and communicates its essence, i.e. speed and energy, in a highly effective yet aesthetically pleasing and energetically well-integrated manner.
Color of the F1 Logo:
The F1 logo features red and black colors on a white background. The red color represents passion and energy, while the black color represents power and determination.

3) FedEx

If you look closer you’ll notice the right-pointing arrow in between the ‘E’ and the ‘x’, representing precision and speed at which FedEx works.

FedEx Corporation, originally known as FDX Corporation, is an American global courier delivery services company headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee. The name "FedEx" is a syllabic abbreviation of the name of the company's original air division, Federal Express, which was used from 1973 until 2000.

The original "FedEx" logo had the Ex in orange; it is now used as the FedEx Express wordmark. The FedEx wordmark is notable for containing a hidden right-pointing arrow in the negative space between the "E" and the "X", which was achieved by designing a proprietary font, based on Univers and Futura, to emphasize the arrow shape.

FedEx Logo Evolution and Facts:
The most interesting fact about the FedEx logo is that it creates an optical illusion; if you observe closely between the ‘E’ and the ‘X’, you’ll notice a presence of an arrow there. The arrow represents the speedy and accurate service of the company. The arrow was formed after 200 FedEx logos were already designed and reviewed by Lindon.
The ‘Ex’ in FedEx signifies different sectors of the company in different colors. FedEx Express in Orange; FedEx Freight in Red, FedEx Ground in Green, FedEx Kinko’s in Blue, FedEx Trade Networks in Yellow, and the FedEx Services in Grey. In addition, the ‘Ex’ of the corporate logo is also colored grey.
The earliest FedEx logo was designed in 1973 by Richard Runyan.

4) Bipolar

The Logo depicts ambiguous emotions. It exactly matches the logo. The meaning of bipolar is
-Relating to or having two poles or charges
- Having two opposite or contradictory ideas or natures (Designer:Siah Design)

5) Amazon

Many of us know this site very well. Because most of us do purchase many stuffs on this site from clothing to books and many more.

The arrow from A to Z, symbolizes what Amazon is known for selling everything from “a to z” . It also serves as a smile, making the company feel friendly and approachable.

Well it's more....

Amazon.com, Inc. is an American company that is widely considered to be a groundbreaker in the online retailing business. Established in 1994 by Jeff Bezos, Amazon.com started off as an online book store, and was named after after the world’s largest river. The company soon expanded, selling thousands of items from computer software to home furniture.
Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, Amazon.com is the biggest online retailer in the US.

DESIGN ELEMENTS OF AMAZON LOGO

Shape of the Amazon Logo:
Amazon.com has used several logos over the years. The current Amazon logo depicts the absolute message that they sell everything from A to Z. In addition to that, the arrow below the wordmark visualizes the smile that the customers of the company would experience by shopping on their website.
Color of the Amazon Logo:
The black color in the Amazon logo represents dominance, supremacy and elegance, while the orange color stands for pride and happiness.

Well these logos were pretty amazing. Well I'll post soon post part 2 of these. So keep watching..O_O

We don't hear the deafening explosion when "a peaceful bomb" falls on the ground, nor do we see the flash and the devastation after the bomb. We see flowers and grass which are full of life. They sway in the wind of freedom and emit unlimited vitality.

Amazing Ambigram Designs

Helloo....!!

Hey Folks have you heard about ambigram ?
Well, I'm hearing it for the first time. It's quite an interesting stuff..

Well all those people including "me" who haven't heard about this I'll provide short and brief information on it.

What is Ambigram ?
An ambigram is a word, art form or other symbolic representation, whose elements retain meaning when viewed or interpreted from a different direction, perspective, or orientation.

The meaning of the ambigram may either change, or remain the same, when viewed or interpreted from different perspectives.

Well there is history how did this term was phrased. Don't mind I will not entire history just short and famous logos used.

The term “ambigram” was first used to mean “ambiguous anagram” by Judith E. Bagai, a former editor of The Enigma, the official organ of The National Puzzlers’ League.

The earliest known non-natural ambigram dates to 1893 by artist Peter Newell. Although better known for his children's books and illustrations for Mark Twain and Lewis Carroll, he published two books of invertible illustrations, in which the picture turns into a different image entirely when turned upside down. The last page in his book, Topsys & Turvys contains the phrase THE END, which, when inverted, reads PUZZLE. In Topsys & Turvys Number 2 (1902), Newell ended with a variation on the ambigram in which THE END changes into PUZZLE 2.

The mirror ambigram DeLorean Motor Company logo was first used in 1975.

Ambigrams became more popular as a result of Dan Brown incorporating John Langdon's designs into the plot of his bestseller, Angels & Demons, and the DVD release of the Angels & Demons movie contains a bonus chapter called "This is an Ambigram".

In the first series of the British show Trick or Treat, the shows host and creator Derren Brown uses cards with rotational ambigrams. These cards can read either 'Trick' or 'Treat'.

Have you ever seen a word and read the same word upside down? This is one form of an ambigram. An ambigram (from Latin: ambi both + gram = letter) is a word or words that can be read in more than one direction, where the word reads the same when upside down or turn over to form an entirely new word.

Well if you look at "right" the other way is "wrong" same case is with second one as well.

“Reverse engineering” By Scott Kim

It’s called an ambigram, and it’s the hottest trend in typography since Helvetica. The other way round is reverse engineering. Cool isn't it ?

Ambigram types
Ambigrams are exercises in graphic design that play with optical illusions, symmetry and visual perception. Some ambigrams feature a relationship between their form and their content. Ambigrams usually fall into one of several categories:

3-Dimensional
A design where an object is presented that will appear to read several letters or words when viewed from different angles. Such designs can be generated using constructive solid geometry.
Figure-ground
A design in which the spaces between the letters of one word form another word.
Mirror-image
A design that can be read when reflected in a mirror, usually as the same word or phrase both ways. Ambigrams that form different words when viewed in the mirror are also known as glass door ambigrams, because they can be printed on a glass door to be read differently when entering or exiting.
Rotational
A design that presents several instances of words when rotated through a fixed angle. This is usually 180 degrees, but rotational ambigrams of other angles exist, for example 90 or 45 degrees. The word spelled out from the alternative direction(s) is often the same, but may be a different word to the initially presented form. A simple example is the lower-case abbreviation for "Down", dn, which looks like the lower-case word up when rotated 180 degrees.

Chandelier Turns a Room into a Forest

Hi, Folks...
How are you doing ?

Well the title of this post sounds interesting and little spooky as well. Isn't it ?

This is very creative chandelier by Hilden Diaz. It turns your room into forest.

Designers Hilden & Diaz have created a fixture that can transport you to a dark forest with the flick of a light switch. When you turn on this chandelier, you're suddenly engulfed in a tangle of tree-shaped shadows.

Well Hilden Diaz is a collaboration  between two  artists Thyra Hilden and Pio Diaz. In 2005, the two artists founded the partnership Hilden & Diaz and gathered their artistic interests. Thyra Hilden came from exploring existential ambiguity in her photographs and video installations and Pio Diaz worked with political and social critique through interventions in public space. The strength and dynamic of Hilden & Diaz as collaborating artists is due to their cultural and artistic differences.

The designers say that this light sculpture, titled Forms in Nature, was inspired in form by the drawings of naturalist Ernst Haeckel. But the chaotic beauty of the chandelier is overshadowed by its effect on the room around it. Forms in Nature isn't available for sale yet, but the designs say it is currently in production.

20130406-120232.jpg

The Light sculpture Forms in Nature resembles Darwinist Ernst Haeckel’s drawings . Using a simple action, such as intensifying the brightness at the centre of the artwork, the light transforms the space and adds character, as the work throws oversized shadows onto walls and ceilings in the space in which it hangs.

Forms in Nature is a artwork with a light source surrounded by a dense and unruly tree and root system created in miniature sculpture. The forest is mirrored around it’s horizontal central axis and forms a circle 360 degrees around the light source and thereby leads one onto the notion of a real world versus an underworld.

The shadows engulfs the room and transforms the walls into unruly shadows of branches, bushes and gnarled trees. Mirroring are thrown out upon the walls and ceilings and provide weak Rorschach-like hints of faces, life and flow of consciousness. Dimming the lights transforms the installation and one senses a weak fire burning deep in the centre of the forest.

Well it looks amazing....!! O_O I'm stunned by their creativity. Would you like to have one these huh ??

Origin

On December 6th, 2009, the Internet news blog BoingBoing published a post titled “Just look at this awesome banana slicer,” which linked to the Amazon page for the Hutzler 571 Banana Slicer. The product page remained relatively unknown until March 2nd, 2011, when the first satirical review was submitted by Amazon user elven, who lauded the product by comparing it to the Honey Badger and Charlie Sheen.

    EZCracker/

The EZ Cracker cracks me up. This plastic egg cracker/separator turns breaking eggs into a riot of snap, crack and plop.
I know cracking eggs is easy for some cooks -- I tip my chef's hat to anyone who can break an egg one-handed or without shattering the shell.

But when it comes to cracking eggs, I'm all thumbs. I'm a nervous wreck during the windup, then either crack the thing too hard or too soft. Shards of shell fall into the bowl, and I spend the next 10 minutes chasing them with a spoon.

One-Step Corn Kerneler. Fans of corn will love this contraction.

    Amco One-Step Corn Kerneler

At first I regretted testing the one-step corn kerneler ($11.69, amazon.com) until so late into the corn season. Now I'm a little relieved. Eight or nine out of ten times with this column, I'm happy to bring you gadgets worth considering—things that could easily have a place in a good handful of kitchens, if not a majority of them—but the other one or two times, I'm happy to just spare you some completely worthless spending. That's the case with this, the not-so-one-step corn kerneler.

The kerneler had the potential to be a fun knick-knack—I didn't expect it to change my life, but I thought maybe it would encourage me to make better use of some farmers' market produce. I liked that it shucked off the kernels and collected them in a cute little canister, both eliminating fuss and mess.

But here's the thing: it doesn't fit around most ears of corn, and requires far more force than just using a knife whenever it does. Even then, it's hard to get the kernels out of their container, as they get stuck in its little ridges rather that pouring. Cleaning is a downright hazard, with sharp edges all over and plenty of stuck kernels around them that can only come out with careful prying. Good thing frozen veggies are just as healthy, anyway.

This ultra cool utensil is the greatest thing to happen to pizza since stuffed crust came along. With its super simple yet efficient design, you’ll wonder how you ever served pizza without it.
In the uncivilized days, in order to serve pizza one needed both hands plus a multitude of cutting tools. The pizza scissors spatula on the other hand is an all-in-one wonder tool that allows for anyone to serve up slices single-handedly, freeing up your other hand for more pertinent matters like holding your current slice or possible a beer bottle. Its innovative design makes it far superior than standard pizza slicers – simply grip the handles, take aim and cut away as the slice falls perfectly onto a plastic slice-shaped tray.
